Livermore Summer Festival

Lions Club sponsored activities for Livermore consists of the Livermore Summer Festival, usually in late June. The festival is a four-day event with rides, nightly entertainment including live music and dancing, area sponsored food booths and on Saturday night the festival ends with fireworks over the Green River.

Thunder on the Green

   

Thunder on the Green, a Kentucky Drag Boat sanctioned event, attracts more than 5000 people each year. It is presented by The Kentucky Drag Boat Association, who can be contacted at (270) 273-5006 or you can check their Web Site at kdba@kdba.net where you can find all of their latest news.  This 2-day event is usually scheduled in August or around the Labor Day Weekend.

Livermore Riverfest 

 

This annual event is held on the banks of the Green River typically scheduled mid-October.  The Riverfest has Silent Auctions, Inflatable Bouncy Toys, Car Exhibits, Food Booths, Chili Cook-off and much more.  There is a Car Show focusing on Classes of 40s & Older, 50s & 60s, 70s & 80s, 90s & Newer, Trucks and Mustangs.  Registration entry fee is $10 and  trophies are awarded to winners of each class.  To pre-register for the Car Show, please e-mail Andrea Tucker at Livermore City Hall at: andtuc@bellsouth.netThere also is a Bike Show with Registration entry fees of $10 and trophies are awarded as well. 

      

 

Veteran's Day Celebration

              

Every year the City of Livermore honors our veterans with the Veterans Day Celebration, during which we honor those who have fought for our freedom. Festivities include music and a potluck dinner followed by a parade.

Lighted Christmas Parade

The Lighted Christmas Parade has been a big event for Livermore since 1989. This attracts area residents with over 30 floats each year.
