|Fratello Marionettes: Carnival of the Animals|
Library - Children's
| Location: ||Civic Center Library ~ outdoor performance|
|“Carnival of Animals”, written by French composer Camille Saint-Saens in 1886, conveys the story of three classic fairy tales: The Three Little Pigs, The Tortoise and the Hare, and The Ugly Duckling. Timeless fables set to this fanciful musical score provides the perfect vehicle for The Fratello Marionettes to both educate and delight. Utilizing a unique performance style, the puppets and puppeteer are seen in full view of the audience on a raised stage.|
This free performance, generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library, is part of the Livermore Public Library’s Summer Reading Program and is geared toward children ages 4 and up. It will be held outside with the audience seated on tarps. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for best parking and viewing opportunities and to bring appropriate sun gear.
