3rd Annual Livermorium Day Celebration
City Calendar - Community

The public is invited to the third annual Livermorium Day Celebration on Friday, May 29th from 4:00 – 5:00 pm at Livermorium Plaza at Mills Square Park (corner of First Street and South Livermore Avenue).  Livermorium Day recognizes the creation of Livermorium, chemical element 116, which was named in honor of the City and a team of scientists from the Lawrence National Laboratory.   Livermore is one of only six cities in the world represented on the Periodic Table of Elements by a named element.

Come celebrate science with Mayor John Marchand and the City Council at this year’s program that includes guest speakers and presentations of the Alameda County Science and Engineering Fair Student Awards, Science Odyssey Awards, the T-K Golden Bell Award and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Teller Awards.  The youth music ensemble “Element 116” will also perform.  For more information, call the City Manager’s Office at 925-960-4040.
