Location: Civic Center Library Storytime Room
Learn about geocaching! Hear more about the Livermore Reads Together (LRT) Geocaching Adventure. Librarian, Nathan Brumley, will teach the basics at Geocaching 101. Enjoyed by people of all ages, geocaching is the fun activity in which participants use Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers or other navigational tools to play a high-tech treasure hunting version of hide and seek with containers (called "geocaches" or "caches").

This session is to help prep you for the chance to play and win prizes! In February, community members of all ages are invited to partake in the 1st LRT Geocaching Adventure. Six caches will be hidden throughout the city. Anyone who locates all six caches and finds the golden chalice will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a Livermore Valley Wine Country Map, or a DVD copy of the Disney-Pixar movie Ratatouille, or the grand prize of a $60 gift card to REI.
