Housing & Human Services Grants
How Does an Agency Apply?
The cities of of Livermore and Pleasanton are co-sponsoring Housing and Human Services Grant application workshops on the following dates. Attendance is mandatory at one of the meetings.
December 1 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm - Livermore City Council Chambers, 3575 Pacific Avenue
December 8 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm - Pleasanton City Council Chambers, 200 Old Bernal Avenue
Livermore allocates CDBG funds on an annual basis. The City issues requests for applications following a funding cycle that begins each December. The applications are reviewed by the City's Human Services Commission, an advisory body comprised of local residents, that provide recommendations to the Livermore City Council for funding. If the City Council approves a program for funding, the agency can begin delivering services from July 1 through June 30 of the next year.
Projects funded with CDBG grant money must primarily benefit low-income individuals and families in Livermore. The Human Services Commission will require documentation that your program meets eligibility requirements. City Staff is ready and willing to assist you to complete a CDBG application and help your organizations meet the CDBG requirements.
