Welcome to Livermore! The Community and Economic Development Department provides services to the business community ranging from pre-development planning and entitlements, to construction related plan reviews, field inspections and business incentive programs.
These services are uniquely delivered by the Permit Center
through several enhancements. The Permit Center is a one-stop shop that provides one-seat service to meet all your needs. Services are coordinated internally for all City reviews to include, land use entitlements and planning, off-site improvements, on-site storm water retention, potable water services, fire prevention, and permit plan review and inspection.
Additional enhanced services include the City’s award winning Advance Team Meeting
. The Advance Team Meeting is a pre-application meeting that encompasses all aspects of a project or proposal. Staff expertise is matched to answer questions related to each specific project. Outside agency expertise is included when the need is identified. Flexibility is a key element of each meeting. The Advance Team realizes that not all projects are the same and many times the agenda can be and is set by the applicant. This allows for directness in questions as well as appropriate and project specific answers. Anyone can schedule an Advance Team Meeting and at any stage of project planning and development. Be it “back-of-napkin” or fully detailed project planning, the Advance Team is ready to help.
The City of Livermore also offers incentive programs
to aid in establishing or growing your business in Livermore.
