Mission Statement: Our goal is to serve the community by providing support for the Livermore- Pleasanton Fire Department, while preparing our members for a career in the fire service based on training, education, leadership, prevention & technology.
Reserves attend scheduled, structured training every month on the second and fourth Sundays (holidays not included). The LPFD conducts Reserve training in a high energy, disciplined and positive environment. Reserves are trained to California State Fire Marshal FF-1 standards as well as career development, public education, fire prevention/investigation and special rescue.
LPFD Reserves are required to participate in a minimum of twelve hours of service time per month in addition to scheduled training. Service can be public education events, training division assistance, community disaster preparedness training, engine/truck company participation and major incident scene assistance.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid California Driver License, be able to pass a Live Scan background check, have a valid CPAT card within one year of application date and be a resident of either the city of Livermore or Pleasanton (or be a current Los Positas College Fire Science student).
