Working closely with ten Livermore youth, ages 12 to 17, this art program provides an opportunity to work with local professionals to design and complete beautiful works of art for public display, inspiring each artist to grow in a positive direction. Students participate in a series of workshops and a field trip to a local museum, experience public speaking, and work with government and public service agencies. The program has been in existence since 2007 and has produced work for Wheels Transportation District, Sandia National Laboratories, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, among others.
This is a collaborative program of the City of Livermore's Housing and Human Services Division of the Community Development Department, Horizons Family Counseling, and the Livermore Police Department.
