Meeting Rooms FAQs

Who may reserve library meeting rooms?

Civic Center Library Community Rooms &
Civic Center Library Board Room 

  • Non-profit and commercial groups which are open to the public can reserve meeting rooms.
  • Advance reservation and fee required.
  • Contact Library Administration at (925) 373-5599.

Civic Center Small Conference Room and Quiet Study Rooms

  • Individuals or small groups may use the study rooms.
  • Rooms may be reserved seven days ahead.
  • There is a two hour limit, per party. 
  • Contact the Information Services Desk at (925) 373-5505.

What does it cost to reserve meeting rooms?

Livermore Non-Profit Organizations 

  • $20/hour *
  • $100 per day ** 

Commercial Groups

  • $30/hour *
  • $150 per day **

*  Any portion of an hour is considered an hour.
** A day is more than five hours.

There may be additional charges for equipment use.

Civic Center Small Conference Room and Quiet Study Rooms are free and can be reserved up to seven days in advance for up to two hours per party. Contact the Information Services desk at (925) 373-5505 to reserve one of these rooms.

When are the rooms available?

Civic Center
Monday through Thursday     10 a.m. -  8:45 p.m.
Friday                                     10 a.m. -  5:45 p.m.
Saturday                                 10 a.m. -  4:45 p.m.
Sunday                                   12 p.m. -  5:45 p.m.

What equipment is available?

Equipment is available for the following rooms:

Community Rooms

  • Kitchen
  • Audiovisual - Computer Connectivity, Projection Screen, Digital Projector ($25), Conference Phone ($25), Microphone ($10)
  • Other - Flipchart / Dry Erase Board with Paper and Pens ($15), Lectern, Tables, Chairs 

Library Board Room 

  • Audiovisual - Computer Connectivity, Projection Screen, Digital Projector ($25), Conference Phone ($25), Microphone ($10)
  • Other - Flipchart / Dry Erase Board with Paper and Pens ($15), Lectern, Tables, Chairs

Who sets up the room?

The user is responsible for set-up and clean up. This time must be included in the paid reservation time.

How to make a reservation?

Civic Center Library
Community Rooms or Library Board Room

  • Contact Library Administration (925) 373-5599.
  • Reservations can be made Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Reservations are available up to six months in advance.
  • Payment and a Premises Use Permit are required two weeks prior to the reservation.
