The three branches of the Livermore Public Library all have computers available for free public use on a first come, first served basis. These PCs offer Internet access, MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. We also have Chromebook PC laptops available for checkout at Civic Center Library (from our Library of Things), which may be borrowed for 2 weeks. If you are seeking computing assistance, we offer basic computer training.
There is free Wi-Fi available at all library branches. Connect to the Internet on the 'Livermore Public' wireless network (wifi) with your laptop or mobile device. It is a free, open, unsecured network. It is your responsibility to secure your own device with, for example, security software and up-to-date antivirus software.
Throughout Civic Center Library, there are "hot seats" which are areas equipped with plug-in capacity ethernet ports and electrical power outlet use.
Each library branch has a black and white printer. Civic Center Library also has a color printer. Print jobs are sent from the public computers to a self-service device where patrons find and release their print jobs after paying.
Wireless printing is available at the Civic Center Library. You may print to the printers there from any computer or mobile device using our mobile printing service. Simply submit documents online for printing and come to the library to print and pick them up.
Go to http://www.printeron.net/lpl/civic-center, email the printer, or use the PrinterOn Android app or iOS app. Print jobs will be available for 48 hours.
Printing costs are $0.10 per page for black and white prints or $0.25 per page for color prints.
