Adult Summer Reading Program

June 1, 2014

If you thought summer reading programs were just for kids and teens, think again!  The Livermore Library is ready to hold its sixth annual reading program for adults, beginning June 1 and continuing through August 16, along with the Youth and Teen reading programs.  Participating in the program is convenient and easy because it is all done online:

• Set up an online account at http://www.livermorelibrary.net/; click “Reader’s Room”.
• Read books or listen to audio books.
• For each book read, log into your account and record the title, author, and a brief comment.  Your review may appear on the library website and give others an opportunity to discover a new author.
• For every 3 books read, up to 12 books, you will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win gift certificates to local businesses.

We invite you to make reading a habit this summer.  Whether you prefer sitting down with a good mystery or listening to a political thriller, reading provides lots of enjoyment and relaxation.  Take some time for yourself and sign up for the Adult Summer Reading Program at the Livermore Library.  Don’t let the kids have all the fun!
