| |  | News Details | Hansel and GretelAugust 8, 2012 The Livermore Public Library will present the Puppet Art Theater performing “Hansel and Gretel” on August 8 as part of the library’s Summer Reading Program, “Dream Big, Read!” The Friends of the Library have generously underwritten this program.
Puppet Art Theater presents a hilarious new take on the Grimm old classic! Will Hansel and Gretel escape the witch’s gingerbread house and find their way home?
The program will take place at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, at the Livermore Public Library, Rincon Branch, located at 725 Rincon Avenue. The free performance will be held outside, with the audience to be seated on tarps. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for best parking and viewing opportunities and to bring appropriate sun gear. These programs are geared toward children ages 4 and older.
The Livermore Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is a free program featuring special events and prizes for all ages. Scheduled programs throughout the summer include storytimes, crafts, wildlife presentation and international performances.
