Summer Reading -- Not Just for Kids!

June 14, 2013

In addition to Summer Reading programs for children and teens, this year the Livermore Public Library will hold its fifth annual Summer Reading Program for adults!  Books read can be from any genre that interests the reader; give yourself a chance to branch out.  Although families are encouraged to read together, an adult does not have to have a child in the summer reading program to join.  Adults may register online by clicking “Reader’s Room” on the library's website, and selecting the Adult Summer Reading Program.  Click “sign me up” to enter your information and set a user name and password. The program begins Friday, June 14th and ends August 17th.
The Adult Summer Reading program will work as follows:
•Register online as described between June 14th and August 17th.
•Read books or listen to audio books.
•For each book you read, log back in with your user name and password.  Type in the title, author, and a comment about the book.
•For each 3 books you read, up to 12 books, you will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win movie tickets, gift certificates to local restaurants and merchants.
Whether you prefer mysteries, romances, science fiction, or westerns, take some time to relax this summer and join the Adult Summer Reading program at the Livermore Public Library.  Don’t let the kids have all the fun!
