Tommy's Pirate Adventure

July 9, 2013

Tommy’s back, and this time, finding pirate treasure gets him into deep trouble!  Join us at the Springtown Library, on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 6:00pm for another free, fun family show from Puppet Art Theater, “Tommy’s Pirate Adventure!” Tommy’s Pirate Adventure is one of many variety performances during the library’s 2013 Summer Reading Program, “Reading is So Delicious!”

The award-winning Puppet Art Theater performs hundreds of live shows each year throughout California. In “Tommy’s Pirate Adventure,” a normal boy’s dream comes true when he—and his dog Fifi—meet real pirates.  During a post-show Q&A period, audiences get to meet the puppeteer & get a close-up look at how the puppets work.

This free performance, sponsored by the Friends of the Library, will be held outside, with the audience to be seated on tarps.  Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for best parking and viewing opportunities and to bring appropriate sun gear.  Summer Reading Programs are geared toward children ages 4 and older.

The Livermore Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is a free program featuring special events and prizes for all ages.  Scheduled programs throughout the summer include storytimes, crafts, a wildlife presentation and international performances.  Pick up a 2013 “Reading is So Delicious!” calendar of events at any of the library’s three locations.  For further information, please call 925-373-5504.
