Trace your family roots at the Livermore Public Library! Livermore Public Library and the Livermore-Amador Genealogical Society (L-AGS) will present two free Introduction to Genealogy workshops in observation of the 2013 Tri-Valley Heritage Happening. The Introduction to Genealogy workshops will be held on Monday, October 14 and Wednesday, October 23 between 2 and 5 p.m. Both events will offer hands-on training from experienced genealogy docents and take place in the Community Rooms at the Civic Center Library.
There are no fees for these drop-in, first-come, first-served events. Volunteer genealogy docents will assist the public in delving into their family history research or genealogy. Please bring whatever information may be available regarding the city or town where your relatives lived. If you have a flash drive, please bring it so you may save any digital documents you might find.
