Courses, tests, essays, activities…What exactly do colleges want to see? The Livermore Public Library invites local high school students and parents to attend a free presentation, “What Colleges Want: An Inside Look at College Admissions Requirements for Grades 9 to 12.” This event will take place Wednesday, October 2 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm in the Community Rooms of the Civic Center Library.
Louise Gill, a college admissions advisor, will give an overview of the admissions policies used by public and private colleges and present resources that will help students prepare for the college admissions process. Find out what courses are required, when tests should be taken, and the importance of extracurricular activities. This program will provide students with the information they need to make informed choices as they move through high school.
