NATURE STORYTIME HITS THE TRAILS AT SYCAMORE GROVE PARK
LARPD rangers and librarians from the Livermore Public Library will entertain families with children's books about nature and wildlife at a special Nature Storytime on the trails in Sycamore Grove Park. The free event will take place on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Families should meet at the kiosk near the Wetmore Road entrance to Sycamore Grove Park, 1051 Wetmore Road.
After the attendees have assembled, participants will begin a guided half-mile walk to the Hobbit Tree along a paved path suitable for strollers, scooters, and bikes. Once the group arrives at the Hobbit tree, storytime will begin. Families will sit in the shade of the tree, listen to nature stories, and sing songs. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on during this program.
Registration is not required for this free event. However, parking in the Wetmore Road lot costs $7.00. Beginning Monday, February 26, 2018, the first 20 families who RSVP for this event will receive a free one-day parking pass to Sycamore Grove Park.
Those on the RSVP list can claim their parking pass at the Wetmore entrance kiosk at 1:00 p.m. or later the day of the event. For questions, or to RSVP, please call 925-373-5504.
