Robotics Playshop: Grades 5 and up

SUMMER ROBOTICS WORKSHOP AT THE LIVERMORE PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Livermore Public Library will be hosting a robotics and computer programming workshop this summer. This Robotics Playshop will take place on Saturday, August 18 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the Civic Center Library, 1188 South Livermore Avenue. A RoboRAVE volunteer will teach participants how to use the C-Style programming language in order to instruct a Daisen robot to execute a variety of commands, including moving, lighting up, and avoiding obstacles. Previous robotics or computer programming knowledge is not necessary. Registration is required and is limited to the first ten participants. Participants must be going into grades 5 and up. Call the Library’s Youth Room Desk at (925) 373- 5504 to register. Registration opens on Saturday, July 21. Parents are welcome to stay and work with their children.
