Robotics Workshops for Grades 5 and up

FALL ROBOTICS WORKSHOPS AT THE LIVERMORE PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Livermore Public Library will be hosting one Robotics Playshop event every month this fall. These workshops will take place on Saturday, October 20, Saturday, November 17, and Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the Civic Center Library, 1188 South Livermore Avenue. A RoboRAVE volunteer will teach participants how to use the C-Style programming language in order to instruct a Daisen robot to execute a variety of commands, including moving, lighting up, and avoiding obstacles. Previous robotics or computer programming knowledge is not necessary.

Registration is required and is limited to the first ten participants. Participants must be going into grades 5 and up. Call the Library’s Youth Room Desk at (925) 373- 5504 to register. Registration for the October event will open on September 15, 2018; registration for the November event begins on October 20, 2018; and registration for the December event starts on November 17, 2018.
