Text Message Reminders for Teen Library Events

TEXT MESSAGE REMINDERS FOR TEEN LIVERMORE PUBLIC LIBRARY EVENTS

The Livermore Public Library invites individuals interested in teen events to sign up to receive text message notifications about upcoming programs. “Texts for Teens” is intended to raise awareness about free library events aimed at teenagers. The Livermore Public Library is using Remind, a secure service commonly used in schools, to send the text messages. People who sign up for this service will receive a notification from Remind before every teen program, or when the registration list opens for programs requiring a reservation. To sign up for text notifications, interested individuals should text @lplteens to 81010. Standard text messaging fees may apply. Alternatively, individuals may also sign up for email notifications by going to the following website: www.remind.com/join/lplteens.

For more information about this free service, please go to www.remind.com. Teens and their parents are welcome to sign up for notifications. For more information about library events, please visit the Teen Space page or contact Teen Programming Librarian Caitlyn Lung at 925-373-5576.
