CELEBRATE WOMEN IN HISTORY AT RINCON BRANCH LIBRARY
Celebrate and commemorate renowned and visionary women at the Rincon Branch Library on Friday March 15, 2019, between 3:15 and 4:30 p.m. The library will provide coloring sheets of women who inspire and impact the world in many ways. Be part of a month of celebrations around the world: spend the afternoon with a crayon, marker, or colored pencil in hand and bring the images to life with color.
The first Women’s Day Celebration was held in 1909 in New York City following protests by women as early as 1857 over working conditions in factories. By 1987 Congress established March as National Women’s History Month. International Women’s Day is a one-day global celebration every year in March; this year’s theme is Visionary Women: Champions of Peace & Nonviolence.
This event is appropriate for all ages. For further information please call the Rincon Library, 925-373-5540. Rincon Branch Library is located at 725 Rincon Ave., Livermore.
