Memoir Workshop at the Livermore Public Library

MEMOIR WORKSHOP AT THE LIVERMORE PUBLIC LIBRARY

Livermore author Barbara Flores will present a program, titled How NOT to Write a Memoir, at the Livermore Public Library Civic Center on October 12, 2019, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Flores will talk about the don’ts and the dos of writing a memoir and read from her own newly released book, Separated, Acting Badly: A Bi-Cultural Memoir.  The event celebrates Indie Author Day.  A question and answer session and book signing will follow the  presentation.   The Civic Center Library is located at 1188 South Livermore Avenue, Livermore, CA.  

Barbara Flores has authored four nonfiction books: Confusion Is a State of Grace, The Great Sunflower Book, The Great Book of Pears, which received an IACP (International Association of Culinary Professionals) award, and her recent memoir.  Her essays have appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Diablo Magazine, and More magazine. She has taught writing coast to coast from UC Berkeley Extension and Moraga College to Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is also the designer of over thirty iconic food art posters for Ten Speed Press.
