AUTHOR VISIT WITH NINA G AT THE LIVERMORE PUBLIC LIBRARY

Stand-up comedy and book reading all in one!  Join Nina G, author of the newly released Stutterer Interrupted: The Comedian Who Almost Didn't Happen, for an afternoon of comedy, stories, and insights. Nina G will talk about her journey to overcome internalized stigma related to her feelings about stuttering to becoming, at the time she started, the world's only female stuttering stand-up comedian.  From childhood experiences growing up in an Italian-Catholic family, brushes with famous comedians to cringe-worthy interactions with people who didn't get stuttering; it's all in Nina's book!

The free program will take place at the Livermore Public Library Civic Center on Sunday, October 13, 2019, 2:00 p.m.   The Civic Center Library is located at 1188 South Livermore Avenue, Livermore, CA.

This program is part of the library’s Authors & Arts Series, sponsored by the Friends of the Livermore Library.  For information about other library programs, visit the online Events Calendar or call (925) 373-5500.
