Complimentary Resources for Teachers

We work one-on-one with teachers to tailor our programs to meet student needs. Grade-appropriate classroom presentations are available on stormwater, wastewater treatment, and pollution prevention. In addition to classroom presentations, we offer wastewater treatment plant tours. We also have a number of educational materials available for distribution to students, and videos for use in the classroom to supplement teacher lesson plans.

Click here to email us for more information, to arrange for a classroom presentation and/or treatment plant tour, or obtain publications and resource materials.

The Water Resources Division is a proud partner of the annual Alameda County Science & Engineering Fair.  Livermore is among ten water and wastewater agencies in Alameda County that sponsor the special "Excellence in Water, Wastewater & Recycled Water Research" Award.  The winning students and their teachers receive cash prizes ($100 to $400) and the opportunity to display their projects in our lobby.

The next science fair will be held on March 16 - 18, 2018.  Get more information at
