The Livermore Police Department will be participating in the 29th Annual National Night Out Event, scheduled for August 7, 2012.
Representatives from the Livermore Police Department along with Volunteers will be out visiting those neighborhoods who have come together to fight against crime.
National Night Out is designed to: Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participate in local anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirits and police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
We are asking neighborhoods to come together, turn on your porch lights and host a neighborhood event. These events can be as elaborate or as simple as you choose. Some past examples have been: Neighborhood BBQ’s, Ice Cream Socials, Dessert Bars and Chili cook off’s. Whatever your neighborhood chooses to do, we would love to be part of it.
If you would like a visit from a Police representative please call or e-mail Nicole Aguon.
