On January 3, 2017, at 7:39 p.m., the Livermore Police Department was made aware of a victim who had been shot in Livermore. LPD officers responded to the area of Highland Avenue and Valley View Way where they located a white male adult who was suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition. Livermore Police Department detectives began investigating the case and determined that the victim, James Jewell (28 year old from Concord), came to Livermore to take part in a drug transaction. Jewell met with Blake Wayne Hansen (25 year old from Concord), Alexander James Diaz (23 year old from Salida) and Robert Delarosa (23 year old transient) in a parking lot on North Livermore Avenue.
