Teen Volunteers Needed This Summer At The Library
The Livermore Public Library is looking for Young Adult Volunteers (YAV) to assist with the 2014 Summer Reading Program. Interested teens must be: (1) a Livermore resident, (2) entering the 6th through 11th grades in fall 2014 and (3) be able to commit to volunteering 12 hours in both months of June and July. If you are a teen who meets these requirements, the application is available now. Returning YAVs will complete this application; new YAVs will complete this application. You may also pick up copies of the application at one of the three Livermore Library branches. Completed applications must be received by 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014.

Writing Club for Young Adults
Do you dabble in writing and want to polish your skills? Have you always longed to compose a story, poem, or play? Whether you are a seasoned writer or just starting out, join published Young Adult author J.L. Powers at Livermore Public Library for the Writing Club for Young Adults. This spring, the Club will meet from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on the third Thursday of each month until May 15, 2014.
