Livermore Shows Appreciation to Local Businesses

June 16, 2014

Livermore’s Mayor Marchand recently held two receptions for top businesses in the City. Top employers and sales tax generators were recognized. The receptions provided the Mayor an opportunity to thank Livermore businesses, while also providing an informal setting in which business representatives could share their thoughts and desires with the Mayor and City staff. The Mayor expressed his appreciation for the businesses that help keep Livermore’s economy growing, allowing the City to provide public services to the community.
The events were held in addition to a City Council Proclamation declaring May 12-18 as “Small Business Week” in honor of small business owners. The Proclamation was received by the Livermore Valley Chamber Board Chair Jennifer Thaete, on behalf of all businesses in Livermore.
The City offers business incentive programs, information, and support to new and existing businesses. Programs include Advance Team services, site selection, financial incentive programs and permit streamlining.
