Attention: Photographers! There is still time to register for the Livermore Stage 3 Amgen Tour of California 2012 Bike Race Photo Contest

The Commission for the Arts invites all amateur and professional photographers to participate in the Livermore Stage 3 Finish Bike Race Photo Contest 2012.

Photographers are expected to take pictures of the Livermore Stage 3 Finish of the Amgen Tour of California 2012 on May 15, 2012. The contest has two separate divisions-one is for those who are 18 years of age and under, while the other is for those who are over 18 years of age. For those who are 18 years of age and under, there is no cost to join the contest. For those over 18 years of age, the registration fee is $25/person. Each contestant can submit up to four (4) images. There will be no charge for entries made.

Pictures should be submitted in its electronic version (jpeg format). Only the winners will be requested to print and frame their photographs for display at City Hall. The following are the themes that contestants should highlight in their photos: 1) Festival 2) Vineyards 3) Downtown 4) Race Finish. Registrants should submit their photos to the Commission for the Arts by June 1, 2012.

Winners will receive cash prizes in addition to receiving recognition from the Commission for the Arts. The following are the cash prizes for the adult division: First place is $150; Second Place is $100; and Third Place is $75. The following are the cash prizes for the youth division: First Place is $75; Second Place is $50; and Third Place is $25. There will also be three honorable mention awards for each division.

To participate, simply fill out the registration form on the City of Livermore website at http://www.cityoflivermore.net/civicax/filebank/documents/7321/. Registration forms should be submitted to the Commission for the Arts c/o Economic Development Department located at 1052 S. Livermore Avenue, Livermore, CA 94550.
