The library will host a presentation by cyber security expert Chris Riley titled Security through Anticipation. An army of hackers are trying to take advantage of internet users 24/7. The purpose of this talk is to help people become more responsible internet users, identify common threats from hackers and identity thieves, and protect oneself from falling victim to common attacks.
This program is perfect for average and beginning users. Security through Anticipation will be held at 2 pm and 7 pm on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at the Civic Center Library, 1188 S. Livermore Avenue. Both afternoon and evening sessions are similar. This important program is free of charge and open to all adults and teens.
Chris Riley, founder of Fixate IO, a developer media company (www.fixate.io), started his tech career as an IT security expert, and then software developer. He has real world experience with cyber security, as well as knowledge in the topics of social engineering, and white hat hacking.
