City Launches Public Records Request Online Portal

On May 11, the City launched GovQA, a comprehensive portal that provides user-friendly access for residents to submit public records requests online. Those searching for City records, including Police records, will now be able to log in, submit their request online, and receive non-exempt responsive records through their user profile. The new portal will also give requesters the ability to check the status of their request, provide a FAQ section to assist requestors in real time, and provide contact information for outside agencies that maintain commonly requested records. All of these tools are meant to provide residents with an efficient and helpful user experience when requesting public records.
