Street Resurfacing Project -- The 2012 Street Resurfacing Project continues into 2013 in the North Livermore area as weather permits.  Since the temperature must be above 50 degrees, the recent cold snap offers challenges to the project timeline.  Besides laying new asphalt, the contractor is also repairing broken concrete and replacing corner ramps  to improve accessibility.  Please drive carefully in the construction areas to keep everyone safe.  Questions? Read a longer explanation on the "Street Resurfacing" page of the City's website -- www.cityoflivermore.net.

Carnegie Park Master Plan -- The City recently developed a Carnegie Park Master Plan in order to update the park's infrastructure and provide a more inviting, attractive and safe environment. A bandstand might also be included in the park's future.  After input from the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District, Livermore Downtown Inc., the Livermore Heritage Guild and others, the plan is presently in the City review process.  Reviews by the Planning Commission and the City Council are tentatively scheduled in February and March 2013 respectively.  Questions?  Call the Planning Division at 960-4450.

Planning Commission Slots -- The City Clerk's Office regularly announces openings on various City Commissions and Boards.  These resident volunteers greatly contribute to the community input and decision making process.  Presently, there are available slots on the Planning Commission.  All applicants must be a resident of Livermore, and must have attended at least one meeting of the Planning Commission prior to interviewing.  The application deadline is January 25th.  Visit www.cityoflivermore.net/civicax/filebank/documents/6870/ for the application.
