Dysfunction abounds now in Washington, DC...but not around Livermore City Hall.  Local elected officials and staff throughout the City continue to work hard and provide quality, efficient services for residents and the business community.  The present DC budget/debt ceiling standoff has had minimal impacts on the City to date.  Please read below about keeping safe, an opportunity to give input, another partnership, and Covered CA -- the place to learn more about health insurance under the Affordable Care Act.  Marc

LPFD Fire Safety Expo --  Livermore residents are invited to the Second Annual Fire Safety Expo on Saturday, October 12th from 8 am to Noon at the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department Training Tower at 3333 Busch Road in Pleasanton.  This free event coincides with National Fire Prevention Week, and features information, guided tours, vehicle demonstrations, fire extinguisher training, the Fire Safety Trailer, and more.  The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Firefighters Foundation will also host a pancake breakfast fundraiser.  Enjoy the morning!



Living Arroyos Project -- The City recently partnered with Zone 7 and the Urban Creeks Council for the Living Arroyos Program which will help restore habitat on 45 miles of streams in the Livermore-Amador Valley.  The project seeks volunteers, and four Las Positas students recently joined the effort as paid apprentices.  For more information on this exciting new project in restorative ecology, visit the Living Arroyos website at
