Livermore thrives despite the lack of rainfall.  New restaurants continue to open.  Wild about wings or craving cookies and ice cream?  Read below for new local options to satisfy your tastebuds.  Did you enjoy last year's Little League World Series?'s back for 2014.  The drought is serious, so visit the City's conservation page for tips to cut your usage.  No mandatory restrictions exist yet, and City staff are working closely with Zone 7, Livermore's water supplier, on the matter.   Marc

Drought Emergency -- On Friday, January 17, 2014 Governor Brown declared a Drought State of Emergency, and asked all Californians to conserve water.  Livermore residents should continue to use water wisely wherever possible. Visit for info on wise water use, water wise gardening, and information about water conservation rebates.  Thanks for helping.

More New Restaurants -- A new Livermore Buffalo Wild Wings opened January 29th at 1790 N. First Street near the Vine Theater.  The phone number is 925-373-9464.  This restaurant joins Panera Bread -- on the far east end of First Street --  as one of the City's newest eating establishments.  Chipotle will share the Panera Bread building, and should open in approximately 2 to 3 months.  And CREAM, a shop that features a combo of warm, home made cookies and ice cream,  will set up shop in Livermore later this year near the Bankhead Theater.

Little League World Series --The Intermediate Little League World Series will return to Livermore this summer from July 29-August 4th at Max Baer Park.  Last year's inaugural event for 11-13 year olds was so successful that the Granada Little League was selected to host again in 2014.  Celebrations this year will also acknowledge the 75th anniversary of Little League baseball.  Mark your calendars for some ballpark fun later this year.

Visit Tri-Valley-- Visit Tri-Valley is the destination sales and marketing organization for the town of Danville and the cities of Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and San Ramon.  It promotes the Tri-Valley area as a preferred destination for visitors, meetings, and events.   Visit Tri-Valley recently "published" two important marketing items.  The first is their new 2014 Official Visitors Guide available at to learn about wineries, dining, shopping and events.  If you fly US Airways in February, don't be surprised when you see the 17-page insert on the Tri-Valley in their flight magazine.  Did you know that Rhonda Wood, winemaker at the Wood Family Vineyards in Livermore, is a former US Airways pilot?
