Information for Residents

Welcome to the City of Livermore. We hope you will enjoy living here. You have joined our 84,852 residents in a city that encompasses twenty-six square miles and is the easternmost city in the San Francisco Bay Area; the gateway to the Central Valley. Founded in 1869, Livermore is California’s oldest wine region, framed by award-winning wineries, farm lands and ranches that mirror the valley’s western heritage. Protection by the coastal range provides the Livermore Valley with a mild climate that enhances the pursuit of a more relaxed, less congested lifestyle.

We invite you to browse all of the Residents features and our easy to use website to find out about life in the City of Livermore, our schools, recreation programs, city services, etc. Make sure you visit our Things To Do, Community Calendar and Community Resources pages for more information. You are always welcome to attend or watch the televised City Council meetings held generally the second and fourth Monday at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers.

We hope these pages help get you started in your new community!
