Thank you for taking the time to explore our website and learn more about the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department. The LPFD is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year! A quarter of a century ago, the cities of Livermore and Pleasanton partnered to improve fire service delivery and efficiency in our region. In so doing, a model of success was created that has been studied and emulated by many agencies since. This model continues to well serve our community today.
We are honored to serve as an “all-risk fire department” with focuses on risk reduction, emergency response and disaster preparedness. My vision for the LPFD is to build a sustainable organization that is constantly evolving and improving to best serve our community. As you explore our website, make sure that you also take a look at the world famous Centennial Bulb, which is also celebrating an anniversary this year, having burned for 120 years!
While our personnel are trained and prepared to respond to a wide array of emergencies, it is always better to prevent them. As you learn more about us, I invite you look at the resources in our Safety Education section of the webpage. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors to our community, and I can think of no better way than prevention.
Thank you for visiting us!
