Computers / Wireless Network

NOTE: Public computer use is available (one 60-minute appointment per day) during in-person walk-in hours, from 1:00–6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Printing is also currently available (see steps below). Copying/scanning/faxing is not yet available.

There is free Wi-Fi available at all library branchesConnect to the Internet on the 'Livermore Public' wireless network (wifi) with your laptop or mobile device. It is a free, open, unsecured network. It is your responsibility to secure your own device with, for example, security software and up-to-date antivirus software.

In addition to free Wi-Fi, there are areas equipped with ethernet plug-in ports and power outlets at Civic Center Library.

Printing from Library Computers or Mobile Devices

Each Livermore library branch has black and white printing. Civic Center Library also has color printing. Wireless printing is available only at the Civic Center Library. You may print to the printers there from any computer or mobile device using our ePRINTit mobile printing service. You can print from anywhere, in or out of the library using ePRINTit. Simply submit documents online for printing and come to the library to print and pick them up.

Printing Costs

  • $0.10 per page for black and white prints
  • $0.25 per page for color prints  

Go to, upload the files to be printed and enter your name or E-Mail address. TBS/ePRINTit is a solution that allows effortless secure network-connected or mobile printing from any device.  Print documents, emails, and web content from any internet-enabled smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop directly to the library's printers.

Web Page Printing
Simply enter your name or an E-Mail address, choose a printer, set print options, and upload your document.

Printing a Boarding Pass
Boarding passes are printed from the airline web pages. If the airline allows you to save a copy of the boarding pass as a PDF file, then:

  1. Save the PDF file to disk.
  2. Submit the PDF file using the ePRINTit web page.
  3. Go to Library to retrieve your print job.

To print an email message or attachment, simply forward your email to:

You will be sent release instructions which can be used to retrieve your printouts.

Each of our three library branches has a black and white photocopier available for public use. Photocopies cost:

  • $0.15 per page for black and white photocopies


The Civic Center Library offers a fax machine for public use, located in the Copy Room. It accepts only credit or debit (ATM) cards. The cost to send a fax is:

  • U.S. - $1.75 for the 1st page; $1 for each additional page
  • International - $3.95 for 1st page; $3.45 for each additional page


The Civic Center Library offers a scanner for public use, located in the Copy Room. Scanning to email or USB is free.
