Teens Vote for Their Favorite Young Adult Book of 2020

The Livermore Public Library is hosting an event in June called the “Best YA Book of 2020.” Teens will be able to vote for their favorite young adult book that was published during the 2020 calendar year. Students in grades 6 - 12 are invited to vote online or come to any open library branch to pick up a paper ballot. Votes will be accepted from June 1 – June 30, 2021.

The votes will be tallied in July and the top 25 most popular titles will be published in a special book list on the library’s website. Each teen may vote once for up to three books. The books must have been released in the 2020 calendar year to be considered for the book list. Teens will need to include the title and author of each of the books for which they are voting. Teens may go to https://forms.gle/dDvHxvhPp6KBYDCK9 to submit their votes for the best YA book of 2020. There will also be a paper ballot available at any open library branch. For questions or more information, please call Librarian Caitlyn Lung at 925-373-5576.
