Family Cycling Workshop ~ September 18

The Livermore Public Library and Bike East Bay will host a free outdoor Family Cycling Workshop on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10:00am – 12:30pm at the Civic Center Library, 1188 S. Livermore Avenue, Livermore, CA 94550. Bike East Bay instructors will provide a day of fun games, safety drills, skills building and a neighborhood ride.

This free workshop is for children who are able to ride a bike and ready to take paths and roadways with their parents (suggested grade range 2nd-6th). The event includes instruction on:
• fitting a helmet
• performing a bike safety check
• communicating with other road users
• riding in a straight line and avoiding obstacles
• as well as navigating safely through intersections, all while playing fun games

All minors must be accompanied by an adult to participate, both with their own working bikes and helmets. A limited number of loaner bikes and helmets may be available for participants. Please contact dani@bikeeastbay.org to enquire.

Each child who participates will receive free reflective gear or a blinky light.
