The City of Livermore Water Resources Division seeks to foster an understanding of important water and wastewater issues among the future leaders of the community it serves, while promoting wise water use. The following is available at no cost to all Livermore public and private teachers and homeschool groups:

  • In-class presentations on wastewater treatment, pollution prevention, and stormwater for elementary students
  • Tours of the Livermore Water Reclamation Plant for all groups aged 8+
  • Sewer Science Laboratory program for high schools
  • Lesson plans, curriculum packets, student materials, and videos related to wastewater and stormwater. Water conservation materials are also available for teachers at schools located within our water service area: Acton Academy East Bay, Altamont Creek Elementary School, Arroyo Seco Elementary School, Croce Elementary School, and Christensen Middle School
