Every year the City of Livermore Water Resources Division hosts Livermore's Water Awareness Poster Contest with Cal Water and Zone 7 Water Agency. This contest is open to all 3rd - 5th-grade students who are enrolled at Livermore school or are Livermore residents. The theme for this year’s contest is "Without Water, Life Would Be Pretty Dry". To help inspire student artwork, we encourage you to visit our Distance-Learning Resources for Educators webpage which has water-related lesson plans, videos, and activity books.

Contest Judging & Prizes
Staff from the City of Livermore, Cal Water, and Zone 7 Water Agency will select finalists for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Finalists’ posters will then be put online in April, and the community will have the opportunity to vote for the winning artworks. If a student from your school is selected as a finalist, it is a great opportunity to rally school spirit and encourage your students to vote for their classmate! After the community votes, first, second, and third place awards will be presented for each grade level in May, which is Drinking Water Awareness Month.
